What is the first step to getting started?

The first step is to schedule a brief initial call with me. This allows us to connect, discuss what you’re looking for, and to see if we might be a good fit before scheduling sessions. You can email me to request your 25-minute Zoom consultation.

What can I expect from our first initial call?

This is a low-pressure, introductory conversation where you can share what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’re hoping for in finding healing.

You’re welcome to ask any questions along the way. By the end of the call, we’ll aim to have a sense of whether we would like to take the next step of booking a full session.The set timeframe for this call is 25 minutes.

How long are regular sessions?

Our sessions are between 45 and 50 minutes, depending on the natural closure of the session. We will begin to wrap up at 45 minutes, with space left at the end to touch base and transition. Sessions may include Somatic Therapy, Inner Parts Work, Expressive Arts, and collaborative inquiry and dialogue.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes. I offer online sessions for clients located in California.

How much do you charge for a therapy session?

My fee is $225 for an individual therapy session. We can meet in person or have our sessions online. I am licensed to work with clients who live in California.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on income and current availability. We can discuss this during our initial call.

Do you accept insurance or provide superbills?

Accepted Answer

I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

How do I book my first session?

After our initial call, I’ll send you a link to SimplePractice, where you can complete consent forms and intake paperwork. Once that’s complete, we’ll schedule your first session and you’ll get a text reminder before every session.

My office is located at 3031 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, California. The closest cross street is 30th St.

Yes. The office is near MacArthur BART, and multiple bus lines run along Telegraph Avenue.

How do payments work?

Fees are collected in the 24 hours before our session via credit card using Ivy Pay, a secure and HIPAA-compliant payment app. Once a card is on file, I am able to automatically bill for sessions week by week.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are subject to the full session fee.
